'In The Sea There Are Crocadiles' (Sarah lock)

The book that i am reading at the moment is the international best seller which called ‘In The Sea There Are Crocodiles’ and written by Fabio Geda.  This book is based on a true story about an Afghanistan boy who was left by his mum at the age of ten.  The afghan boys name was Enaiatollah, he remembered three important things that his mum said before she left her son which was to never use drugs, never use weapons and not to steal from others.  This may have taken a while but in the end the boy finally started to realise why his mum told him to stick with those three points.  In this remarkable true story the author describes this young boys five year journey from Afghanistan to Italy.  When Enaiatollah is forced to leave his home village it is very difficult for him to leave all his memories and childhood behind.  I think this heading is indicating that out there in the world there are people who can hurt you and take everything from you and the people you love and care about.  so far i have injoyed reading this noval as it gives allot of infomation about his culture and how he has grown up in Afghanistan.  i would recomend this book to people who engoy reading about different cultures and their lifestyle.

  1. Sounds great, Sarah. Is this from our library? Would you be able to write a quote from the book which is particularly powerful and/or descriptive?
